Some people on the internet will copy content from other peoples' web sites - and use it as their own. If you would like to find out if someone is copying either individual web pages or your entire site, follow these steps: Go to http://www.copyscape.com Enter in the web address of the page on your site you want to check to see if unauthorized copies exist on the web. Hint: Start by entering the URL for the front page of your site. Then check out important pages on your site, such as product descriptions, about us, contact us, and information that you have spent a long time compiling. Click the 'CopyScape Search' button. If any sites are shown in the results page, click the link to each result to review how your content is being used. If you do click a link to a page with copied content, all copied text on the page will be highlighted in either blue, yellow or green to help you identify what has been copied.
