Zig Ziglar tells a story about a guy who spends some time watching a fisherman. The fisherman is very successful but every time he catches a small fish he pops it into his keep net, while every time a big fish is landed he throws it back.
Puzzled, the man approaches the fisherman and asks hi why he is keeping the small fry and throwing back the big ones - the opposite of what you'd expect.
Simple, says the fisherman, I only have a small frying pan.
The moral of the story is that it is okay to aim high, but sensible to work within your own limits.
The real message though, is that if you do end up getting good at something, you'll waste a lot of opportunities if you don't buy yourself a bigger frying pan.
